Dr. Niesenbaum was born, raised and trained in Philadelphia.  He received his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and his Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  After a short stint practicing in New Jersey, he and his wife settled on Long Island to raise a family.  A career of practice ownership, spanning 4 decades ended with the sale of the last practice on Long Island just as the pandemic was emerging.  Leaving ownership was a difficult transition but since then he has been doing relief work, dividing his time between Emergency Room work and general practice both on Long Island and in NYC.  He is happy to be able to bring his experience to Battery Park this summer, covering shifts so that the regular staff doctors can get some well deserved breathing room.
