Dr. Charles Berk, has been affiliated with Downtown Vet Group’s Battery Park and West Village Veterinary Hospitals since 2008 and is now the managing veterinarian for these locations. He first worked with animals as a kennel assistant for his local veterinarian while attending high school in Valley Stream, NY. “I always loved animals and knew that I wanted to be a veterinarian.” After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, he attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Berk was awarded an internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in Plainview, NY. Dr. Berk completed acupuncture training at Chi University in Reddick, Florida and is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture.  Dr. Berk believes in integrative medicine using both eastern and western medicine modalities to achieve the best results for his patients.
