West Village Veterinary Hospital (WVVH) opens new location

After 9 months of planning and construction, September 29th was “opening day” for the West Village Veterinary Hospital in their new location at 75 Eighth Avenue. “We are still finishing some of our decorating, elevator, entry, and front signage, but the hospital is fully functional as far as our patient care is concerned,” says owner Mark Burns, DVM. “It’s been a long and stressful move for all, and we are glad to finally be settled in.” After 29 years at their location on Washington Street, this move has provided the Hospital with nearly 4 times the space for their growing practice, and an opportunity to expand their hours and service.

Ms. Li joined the DVM Hospitals Group in 2006 as Practice Services Coordinator, balancing the staffing and medical needs of DVM Hospitals’ 3 locations in lower-Manhattan. Ms. Li, who is a native New Yorker, has worked as an animal nurse and hospital manager prior to joining DVM Hospitals and is currently taking classes at NYU towards her Masters of Hospital Administration degree.

DVM Hospitals has formed a professional affiliation with Tribeca Pet Services (www.tribecapetservices.com), a custom boarding facility and pet services group. Started by Diane Sandoval, one of our licensed veterinary technicians, and her husband, Matt Kurzon, TPS will accommodate all of our transportation needs (patient transfers, food delivery) and will use DVM Hospitals’ approved staff for home treatments, and their other service needs. They will also use our logo on their pet services van, so watch for it.
